1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30

1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Convertible – sold for $77,500 Documented by a letter of authentication from the GM Heritage Center, this genuine all-matching numbers 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 is the ultimate prize for collectors of the breed. Its attractive Porcelain White paint with Gold striping and White top evokes the famed Hurst machines, while the Brown interior, with its bucket seats, burled woodgrain trim, air conditioning, full power accessories and 4-spoke Rally tilt wheel, speaks to the luxury side of the car’s personality. The other side, of course – the muscle side – is under the hood in the entirely code-correct forced air W-30 engine; even the Turbo automatic transmission and 3.91 12-bolt rear end are correctly numbered. Add power steering and front disc brakes, Rally wheels with Firestone white letter tires, power top and trunk release, AM/FM radio and 8-track tape player, convenience light group, speed minder and the rare night watch headlight delay, and the result is one very well-equipped, powerful and good-looking Oldsmobile classic. Auction Source: 2012 Daytime Auction by Mecum
