specs:
0-200-0 km/h: 18.6 secs. 0 - 200 km/h: 13.6 secs. 200 - 0 km/h: 5.0 secs.
here it lines up with the Mercedes SL 65 AMG (18.5) and the Porsche 997 GT3 (18.6)
even thogh the clutch feelsa abit weak it stands the power of the 8-cylinder engine
mac. lat. acceleration: 1.3g
here it lines up with the AstonMartin V8 Vantage, Ford GT, LP640, CLK DTM AMG and Porsche 997 GT3
the GoodYear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT tyres offers alot of grip in the dry, with its 275 mm ZR 18 and 335 mm ZR 19 tyres in front and rear it is well balanced
7:49 at the Nurburgring
here it lines up with the LP 640, 997 GT3 and BMW M3 CSL
nearly perfect, powerful engine, the chassis and supsension stand the charges of a challenging track like the Nurburgring easily, exact gear shifts and an easy clutch, slight oversteeer leads to best lap time
1:11.7 at the Hockenheim short track
here it lines up with the 997 GT3 and Lamborghini Gallardo SE
perfect handling lewads to a perfect 10, the specially for the Z06 developped GoodYear tyres fit it very well

here it lines up with the Alpine Roadster S (tuned BMW Z4 roadster) and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, beats the Koenisgeeg CCR by nearly one sec. but is baout 3 secs. slower than the C06 as the GoodYear Eagle tryes were worn at the end of the Supertest.

Those are the worst acceleration times I've ever seen, the base model is faster than that.

verdict: 68 out of 80 possible points
due to bad performance in the wet handling test it didn´t score as much points as the Ford GT (69) or Porsche 997 Carrera S (71) or 997 Turbo (72)
the price of 90,000 EUR and that performance must make all the Europen car makers being ashamed. Corvette did a pretty good job and has imporved the Z06 wehrever it eas necessary suchas weight reduction, powerful engine, chassis and suspension

Thanks for posting this, Axel.
I wouldn't say the C6 is faster than this, because according to the supertest, it's not. This Z06 is about 1/2 second slower to 100 than most other Euro Z06 tests, however. But beyond that, it's about 1.5 seconds slower to 200 kmh. Quite a difference. Perhaps the temperature is affecting it. 30 deg C is about 86 F. Back when Sport Auto tested the Z06 against the SRT-10 in 4 deg C, it recorded a more typical 12.0 to 200, and was even slightly faster to 40kmh (normally, runflats are pretty poor in cold weather). In that test at HRing, the Z06 was also a bit faster in most corners, and 3 kmh faster on the straight. Meanwhile, this one is not only slightly slower than the GT3 at the 2 fastest parts of NRing, it got clobbered by the 997 Turbo at Doettinger Hoehe (+12kmh), despite carrying 8kmh faster in the corner before the straight. Pretty close cornering speeds with the GT3, though. Most within 3-4kmh (and faster in some).

Great times for the Z06, really impressive.
Of course 2998ccCSL will come in here and say that it is useless on the road, because one TV presenter, who's opinions on the show should never be taken seriously, said it.

Loosely translated from German Corvette forum comments:
With your expressionful feature the Corvette already provided before more than a quarter century for attention. Today it is no longer alone the salient optics of the V8-Boliden - it wakes bright enthusiasm also driving dynamically.
Regardless of the conventional engine concept the Z06-specification under the designation L57 reveals however some outstanding characteristics,
"A grandioser engine and a chassis, also with serious employment, like here on the Ring, do not give themselves bare.
Which demonstrates the American in the everyday life and on the racing course and like convincingly it thereby acted, is nothing else as a small sensation.
The engine is simply and simply the hammer, the chassis a force and the quality of workmanship for the first time on a level that comes very close to the European standard.
"That those subjectively still almost lag behind to something as breath-robbing felt road performances of the supertest model behind those of the model tested in the comparison test with the viper (expenditure 4/2006), explains itself with the striking temperature differences on the respective measuring days. With 30 degrees Celsius
is that oxygen content of air be obvious-proves clearly smaller than with the then dominant four degrees Celsius. In acceleration to 200 km/h this constitutes a difference of 1.6 seconds: The Z06 lodged a complaint 12.0 seconds with four degrees Celsius outside temperature, 13.6 the Supertest Corvette measured with 30 degrees."

you misunderstood me, I was laughing at the fact that the testers got a 0-60 time of four and a half seconds which a 350 bhp C5 corvette can get close too
they should've got a 0-60 time below 4 seconds for the LS7 powered Z06

As was already pointed out, many factors can affect its performance. A major one is temperature. Go to a drag strip on a hot sunny day and you'll see horible times compared to the norm.
