Supercar Messiah - 35120

Say hello to the newest adition to the supercar family, Vinci GT.
Developed in my hometown, this manufacturer has announced that this first car will be a limited edition one. Details are few but the car will be probably powered by circa of 350/400 hp, no top speed figure yet, or anyother stats.
My pics at the launch :

I was waiting

and i like it! Really looks a little like the Marcos GT2 coupe and the side profile resembles a 599 GTB.

Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll get the chance to view the car again.

Interesting. It looks like a Gillet Vertigo and a Ferrari 250 Europa had a love child.

Any idea on where the engine will be sourced from or the configuration?

It looks really odd.
"Does it have anti-lock brakes, or an airbag or traction control?"
"Nope," he said beamingly. "We're still making our cars for heterosexuals."

I don't really know, there was a rumour of a BMW M unit. But AFAIK even building theyr own engine is still an option

That would be quite an undertaking to build an engine from scratch. This is their first car, correct?

it looks great but... i have to agree with henrikjostedt, it looks a little bit odd. the front needs to look a little bit more agressive.

let's see if the final version is exactly the same...

Yeah but the firm is a joint venture between the "Center for Excelence in Auto Engeneering" and "Auto Museu da Maia", so you basicly have a great team of engineers and a team of old garage rats that panel beat rarities for a living. They have the skills, the problem is funding.

it needs to be less bubbly/fat. Otherwise its a good design.

I understand how scissors can beat paper, and I get how a rock can beat scissors, but there's no #$%#ing way paper can beat rock. Is paper supposed to magically wrap around rock and leave it immobile? Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they take notes in class? I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody. A rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds. When I play rock paper scissors, I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say, oh shit Im sorry, I thought paper would protect you, asshole.

I definitely don't doubt their skills. I was just thinking that an all new engine would take funds away from refining the car and such. In a startup venture, spreading yourself too thin is usually what kills you.

Quote from Mott Power
If they are only aiming for 500 hp then I doubt they would use forced induction. The V10 can already do 500 hp, 5.2 Liters will just up the torque. Main point being I doubt forced induction is neccessary and Audi is already building a reputation for highly tuning these engines for maximum power just through natural aspiration (4.2 RS4 engine).
wrong thread ?
