nice! I love this car. Only one thing I really don't get is that i've read in a magazine that the porshce gemballa GTR 600 had a tracktime of 7.32,5 (on August 2001) and this koenigsegg 7.34. I think this koenigsegg just smokes a gemballa GTR 600 :S, strange..

short summary:
King for one day
the Koenigsegg CCR, the most powerful and fastest car ever tested by sport auto at the Nurburgring, showed its true potential by achieving an otstanding lap time of 7:34 mins. (even though it is not quicker than the Carrera GT) at the Nordschleife and a 1:09.8 mins at the Hockenhien short track.
A top speed record at Dttinger Hhe was achieved with 313 km/h at the only 2kms long straight, 267 km/h at the Schwedenkreuz and 250/h at Kesselchen as well as the max. lateral acceleration of 1.35g on track speak for itself.
0-100 km/h in 3.9 secs. 0-200 km/h in 9.6 secs. 0-200-0 km/h in 14.5 secs. (0.5 secs. faster than the CGT!)
It runs like a true supercar and it handles like a true supercar, the limits are very high and clearly defined.
But this is not the end as the new Koenigsegg CCX will be more powerful and faster than this. (seems it takes anew car and concept like the CCX to exceed the limits which have be reached with the CCR)

awesome car, right!
even though the Zonda F and Carrera GT are a bit faster than the CCR:
7:32* -- 164.071 km/h Pagani Zonda F, 650 PS/ 1230 kg, (*mfr.) www.autodrome-cannes.com/index-eng.asp 7:32.44 163.911 km/h -- Porsche Carrera GT, 612 PS/ 1475 kg, definitive time Horst von Saurma (sport auto 01/04) 7:32.52 163.882 km/h -- Gemballa Porsche GTR 600 EVO, Wolfgang Kaufmann (sport auto 01) , www.gemballa.com/news/gtr6002.html 7:34 --- 163.586 km/h Koenigsegg CCR, 806 PS/1418 kg, Horst von Saurma (sport auto), oct,17-18 05, www.koenigsegg.com/news/articles.asp?news=98&page=&type=news, www.supercars.net/PitLane?viewThread=y&gID=0&fID=2&tID=75219
Both are hanlding a bit better than the powerful CCR, this is where the the 1-2 mins. get lost on track. The limits of the CCR are probably are higher than the limits of the CGT (but not the Zonda F!) but it takes the driver some more seconds to take it to that limits also by switching the gears, some seconds obviously get lost by the sequential gearbox of the CCR.

I thought that sequentials shifted faster than traditional manuals. I know that I can't shift in 150 milliseconds!

150 milliseconds only if it is and half automatic sequential gearbox.
reportedly the semi-sequential gearbox of the CCR is more like a convential manual H, each gear is not clearly defined and so leaves the driver in doubt if the right gear was selected, checking again takes away time and the driver´s concentration to the track, a semi-automatic with paddle shifter would be much better.

It is a sequential shift like a motorcylcle. It has a clutch and a gear lever. Instead of moving the shifter around the H, by moving up and down and left and right, it is a shifter that only moves up and down. To upshift you pull the lever back and when you let go a spring pulls the lever back to the center.

Impressive. I believe the conditions were quite cold, atmospheric temp. 8C. Track temp. 11C.
However, I know of one car that did 0-100kmh in 3.4 secs, and 0-200kmh in 8.6 secs. On an aircraft runway with lots of paint (less traction) but in warmer weather
I know of another car that is claimed to do 0-200kmh in 7.3 secs.
Bizzarrini P538 Carbon fibre monocoque chassis and full carbon fibre body. 600hp. 800kg.

Something is wrong: 0-200 9.6s, 0-200-0 0.5s better than CGT, good brakes, best slalom, +20 Kph than CGT in the longest straight of Nurbur... +1.55s than CGT!?!??!?!
