Seriously... Why have muscle car prices shot up so much the last several years? It's crazy if you ask me. Especially the ones that have gone into the hundreds of thousands. I especially don't get why people pay sooo much more for numbers matching cars. To me a car that started life a a six and has been properly converted, and maybe even upgraded, is just as awesome as one that's stock.

holy crap.
Earlier this year, I seen a GTHO Phase III in the paper for something crazy like, $220,000.
All the while, old Monaros are only around the $15,000 mark, hahaha.
I'd like to think what VT Monaros, FPVs, and HSVs will be worth in 35 years time.....

Wow. That clone being sold for that much is stupid. To me a Cuda with a built 440 is just as good. Those Hemi crate engines are the most overpriced engines ever. That real Hemi Convertable is equally stupid. 3.5 mil. Jesus.
I will own a Barracuda some day, but it won't be something insane like that. Probably just a built to shit one that started out as a 318 or a slant 6. I just don't see any reason to pay THAT MUCH for a certain variant of a car when normal ones can be had for so much less.
But I hope whatever idiots who spend that much on them enjoy having their little piece of paper with numbers on it that cost them an extra hundred grand.

Evertyhing is expensive when it comes to muscle cars around here. I can remember people used to sell them for like 1/2 to 1/4 of what they are now.
