Nope.

Here is a clue: The body and the car where built in the same country, state, and city. As you might have guessed, the body is coachbuilt, not a factory piece. Additionally, if you know about coachbuilders, you should, at the very least, be able to tell who bodied this car.

This is a complete shot in the dark because I know very little about coachbuilers...

Well, Fleetwod was originally founded in Pennsylvania and moved to Ohio before it was bought by GM. Since Cadillac was built in Michigan, you are still on the wrong track.

Another clue: The tip-off as to who bodied the car lies in the appearance of the rear deck. The lines executed there are common to cars bodied by this coachbuilder. Here is another shot of the car, from the back to help you along...

No Spirit of Ecstasy on the hood there.

Another clue, and this is a big one: Notice what is missing from under the rear bumper...

It gives a lot away actually...b/c if you look closely, this car doesn't have any.

Also, LeBaron isn't right either. This car wasn't built in Neew York or Michigan.

I have to confess to being completely ignorant of US coachbuilders, so that clue doesn't help. But if we're not talking about an internal combustion engine here, it's surely a steam car (I so want a steam car!)

Is it a Model E Doble?
