Thanks. I'm pretty happy with the way that and a bunch of other shots are turning out considering I had no control over where or how the car was positioned.

looks like the wheels are turned in the wrong way for good sun side shots (other side looks to be shade side)

Great gallery man, what a fricking awesome car. I still wish it kept that wacky triangular intake on the roof but whatever eh.

Also, that one shot with the... dunno what it's called, dirty film look... is pretty cool btw.

This is for Chris Draper:

Thanks man. I THINK, and I could be very wrong, that the bigger scoop is at the very least still an option on the "Race" model. They still show pics of it the car on their site. I still have quite a few shots to get up, but I figured the quicker I get at least most of them up, the better.

Yeah, the film grain/grime look is something I've done a bit of in the past... I don't know, sometimes it just makes the shot a little cooler in my opinion. That shot was super noisy, so I figured why not?

I did that same look to a handful of pics from this shoot:

Like this one:

EDIT: Did you happen to read the little writeup on the front page? I'm just wondering if you did if you noticed any errors... no one but me looked it over before I posted it.

Dude, absolutely. I'm into any car that's cool. I've only owned Japanese cars (and the car I'm building is Japanese powered) and I was just browsing a bunch of classified sites for cheap, rusty American cars from the ~1970 back. There's a '70 Mercury Cyclone GT that caught my eye, but realistically it's not an option... doesn't run and I don't have space for it. That and whatever car I buy needs to be a daily driver and needs to be one right away. One car I'd REALLY like to build is a '30s Chevy Business Coupe (with a few body mods, but nothing hot rod-ish) with a pair of Northstar V8s in it.

Yeah, that'd be the plan. I think it'd be easy enough. Huge engine bay, huge trunk, FWD electronically controlled auto transaxles, drive by wire (I believe), etc... I think it'd be easy enough, it just wouldn't be cheap. Still, I'm hoping to have something along those lines (in addition to some other cool projects) within the next five years or so. 16 cylinders, AWD, classy body/interior... would be seriously cool, IMO.

Even if it ended up looking like shit that had been sewn together by some mexican earning $1.67 a day, (No offence if it does, nor to your abilities, just sayin') it sounds wicked. If it works we will be needin' technical pics plz

Well, this project wouldn't be for quite some time. It'd definitely be a couple/few years before I even get started on it. Depending on the budget, I'd either go with a modded body (slight chop top, longer fenders, stuff like that) and nice paint or try to find an unrestored car and leave the body untouched (with fade paint, possibly bits of rust, etc).

For the latter, I mean something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200253495327

But obviously an older Business Coupe and preferably a black car.

EDIT: Never posted this before, but here's a little mockup I made a while back.

1938 Chevrolet Business Coupe Master Deluxe. Close to the perfect car for the project, IMO. Stock and sort of what I had in mind. Pretty Euro paint scheme and details, but still American.

Yeah. Last year I had press passes Barrett-Jackson, Russo & Steel, Gooding & Company and RM. Most of them multiple days. I might actually be the company's official photographer for one of them this year.

This was out at a local, very small get together this morning. Unfortunately, I wasn't there, so this is the only pic I have (taken by "nerd" on Fchat).

EDIT: Right, wasn't.

Hopefully there will be soon. I talked with a guy that was there this morning and he said that the owner is local and that he's likely going to be out at events more regularly. I guess it's one of three 959 rally cars and the other two are in the factory museum. o_O
