 My dream is to one day own a car like that and do stuff like that with it. I don't mean street racing in particular, but taking it to get-togethers like that and letting true enthusiasts share the joy/not being a rich douchebag.

 add 1 turn and the cobra is done for..... I'd also wish they kept racing, they probably stopped at 130 or so don't you think?

Of course, the cgt has 500,000 dollars worth of engineering behind it. Its one of the best automobiles ever made. The cobra is just another mass produced car. This race was not to prove that the cgt is crap or anything, the cobra knows its place in the food chain.

But just to note that this cobra was a midly(by cobra standards) modefied example pushing out ~630hp.
Heavily modefied cobras run 9-10 second 1/4 miles so they will probably take the carrera gt in a straight line.

ANd yeah if I own a piece of automotive art like that, I would take to to the local get togethers too.

 Its pretty amazing what those cobras are capable of without lifting a valve cover. They also have one of the best sounding engines ever made. No one is really calling a mustang better then a carrera GT, this guys just proud he raced a 500,000+ dollar supercar with his 35,000 dollar car and won, im imressed.

No one can say whether the Cobra really won. Granted, he pulls a bit ahead in the first "race", but there's no real start to that one. In the race where they honk 3 times and then go, the Carrera GT stays side by side and undoubtebly would have pulled ahead had they kept going.

Really the two cars were about dead even and the cobra got the jump. But still, its pretty impressive for an engine that gan trace it roots back to a lincoln mark VIII.
