Tell me what's awesome about Terschelling, besides keeping hipsters away from the mainland for almost a week every year

I always thought half-track trucks were cool.

Ive been to them all.
For me its Terschelling>Ameland>Texel >Schiermonnikoog >Vlieland
If you like Texel youll like Terschelling and Ameland for sure. A lot more dunes and forest opposed to the meadows of Texel.

Sounds excellent, love dunes and the sea breeze and all this Then again, I'd have to come from Friesland and Groningen and shite Worth it? Maybe
How regularly do the boats go?

Totally worth it imo. Been to Ameland at least a hundred times as a kid. Been to Terschelling not as much, but at least 10 times.
Terschelling is quite easy to reach with public transport. Ameland not so much.
Terschelling has a fast ferry and a slow one. The fast one only takes 45 mins. The slow one like 3 hours or something like that.
Ameland only has a slow ferry, but only takes an hour or so.
Both ferries go multiple times a day. Not sure what times though.
Would recommend to visit it more than one day, as both island are quite big. Especially terschelling. I've never reached the end of the island, because you can only walk the last 10 km or so.
