Well remember that this was a supercharged race car. Today formula one can get 800+ horsepower out of the same size engine without a supercharger.

Isn't your name RS4man? I think you mean the Audi RS4 by that. If you bring that car to B&B Automobiltechnik, they'll get 530 hp out of a 2.7 bi-turbo. And that would last a lot longer than a 1950 F1-car. If you want to go more extreme, look at Per Eklunds Saab 9-3 Viggen Pikes Peak; a 750 hp 2.0 turbo. I'm sure there are lots of other things you can think of.
The Donkervoort S8 2.0 RS. Few cars beat its 0-60 in those days...
