It's a Duesey! - 11430

The guy that you forgot the name of was Walter Owen Bentley, and he hated forced induction (as did Ettore Bugatti and Fred Duesenberg). He only put a blower on the car to compete with the Italians (with the Alfa Romeo P3, which was supercharged) and the Germans (whose SSK cars also had blowers). They only made 51 of these big sportscars, and in truth they weren't very successful as far as racecars go. A good one with history can go for well over $1 million, while most hover around $600,000. An exact replica can be built for $225,000.

Not quite. One of the Bentley Boys - Henry 'Tim' Birkin, first supercharged Bentleys, against the wishes of WO Bentley to compete against Alfas and Mercs. The car never one a major race but gave the Mercs a good run for their money at Le Mans causing them to retire as the engines couldn't hack the pressure. Birkin also retired leaving the way clear for the unsupercharged Bentley team cars to win.

It was for me the biggest surprise at the Big Boy's Toys expo. An even bigger surprise was to follow though - you can rent it out as a hire-car!

Does anyone know the production number of these?

Now Supafli was from San Anton. A ramblin', scamblin' muthaf***er since the day he was born. Why the day he dropped from his Mammy's c**t, he slapped his Pappy's face, and said "From now on cocks***er, I'm running this place."

The funny thing about this car is the "blower" in the front of the car. It is placed there because the guy (forgot his name) that originally made the cars, said that one of these modern, useless things would never be placed under the hood of a Bentley.
So when the guy died and the use of the "modern, useless" device became inevitable, they placed it between the headlights which is, as you know, not under the hood. Funny, but true !

We brake for nobody !

Cool. I saw an Arnage Red label yesterday witha spoiled child in the back seat playing his PS2 in the car while listening to his Headphones.

Never talk about Blowers again without getting the facts right. Walter Owen Bentley (May he rest) had a car cable of eating a any alfa, bug, dussy, or merc. It called a speed six. He had no need to supercharge to be in competition with any that under engineered crap. But Tim Birkin a charismatic Bentley Boy got the chairman of Bentley Wolf Babe Barnato to agree to it. The race cars were not owned by the factory but by a private owner the Honorable Mrs Dorthy Padget and were built Birkin himself. The speed six is faster smoother, handles better and is sex on four wheels. Look it up. A good blower is worth 1.4 million provided it has matching numbers
Fakes can be built for 350.000 then engine setup is friendish.
