First I'm going to restate my very first comment: Bentleys and Rolls are the best built cars in the world. Also they are the best luxury cars in the world. But SUV's are the best platform for building the best luxury vehicle. I'm not saying that theres an SUV thats better at being a luxury vehicle than a Bentley or Rolls. I'm saying that if Bentley or Rolls built an SUV, It will probably be the best luxury road vehicle of all time because an SUV is the best platform for ultimate luxury.

name me one USEFULL thing a full size luxury sedan can do that an SUV can't do.

maybe I'm missing something, but I dont understand how anyone cant see the logic in that!

An SUV can do anything a full size luxry sedan can do and more!

A luxury most full size sedans don't have is the ability to go off road, into deep water, lots of mud, etc. This is a luxury! (and don't tell me it's not without a good reason!)

Another is better vision of the road ahead (because you sit considerably higher).

Look at the BMW X5. It's fast handles well, is luxuryous and can go off road!

I can't think of anything a FULL SIZE luxo sedan can do better than an SUV.

The only thing I can think of is lower center of gravity. If the SUV has hydrolic lift, that cures that problem.

When going fast takes a backseat to luxury, SUV's make better platforms for a full size luxury machine. And you can still have a fst well handling SUV.

gas mileage bud not like gas would matter to a rich guy but thats one thing safety cars are less likely to rollover
its the little things why cars are made luxurious ore often than suvs

handling is another, SUV's cant handle as well as cars, also SUV's ride quality is not as good, lux-o cars need good soft shocks. lux-o cars are cars for a reasion
Porsche = Best sports car.
Audi = Best luxary car.
Toyota = Best truck / best 2 door car for under 25g's.
Nissan = Best 4 door car for under 25g's.
ford/chevy/dodge = Good for a laugh!_____________________________________________
2001 Porsche Sportec 911 Turbo Stage 4, silver, 3400lb's, 600HP,0-60 in 3.3 sec., and a top speed of 332kph/206.3mph, need i say more?_____________________________________________
the Viper is known as the best american car made, but it was designed by lambo, and is owned by merc. does that sound like it's "american" to you?_____________________________________________
The Porsche GT, and Enzo are about $200,000 apart, yet they are VERY close cars in almost all ways, and people are debating witch one is better, when for the price of one enzo you could buy a Porsche C-GT and a GT2. hell, the price diff. between the C-GT and the enzo is bigger then that of the civic vs the GT2, but yet no one compairs those cars, why? because the Porsche is so good, it compairs with cars that cost 1.5 times what it costs, thats Porsche kickin' the ass of the avg. Enzo driver, one day at a time...

Handling is probably the most important factor as well as safety.
safety for the driver, the driven, and the other ppl.
SUVs are the deadliest kind of cars.

SUVs weigh more. try to stop an SUV 100-0 then try a sedan. even if the SUV has BREMBO breaks or whatever... its MASSIVE.

Listen, no one read my shit. I made a point to state hydrolic lift would definatly cure that prblem of saftey and handling.

Again the BMW X5 and the Infinity FX 45 are great hadling vehicles SUV or other wise! You can do something similar with an SUV.

In addition the you dont have to duck into an SUV, you simply move your hips into it and your sitting.

Now way man and SUV I am certian still will make a better luxury vehicle. No one hear has yet been able to give me a good reason. I knew handlng would be considered and rolling over would also be mentioned, and that taken care of with hydrolic lift. Get into the car with SUV rasied up high! Drive fast and corner harder with suspension set stiff and low. Going accross ruffterrain! Go high again. More space for passengers and drivers. See far into the distance hwhen high up. No way. SUV's are the better luxury platform.

i garuntee it will be proven

Which would you rather have parked in your garage?

I want the Bentley. Most people out there will agree with me. Better or not, nothing compares to the look on the faces of your mates when you pull alongside their Nissan Micra with an Arnage Red Label.

You have the right to remain silent. Everything you say will be misquoted; and then used against you.

An SUV does have more luggage space, though thats the only forseeable plus. Minuses as have been mentioned include milage, and roll-overs. And DON"T tell me you can take it off-roading. I mean dammit man, you might get mud on your $10,000 osterich leather upolstry or chip the paint even. Just get a land rover if you want to play in the mud in style.

OK heres how it is. More people would prefer a luxo sedan than a luxo SUV. want to know why? Well here it is. Alot of people think that owning an SUV is just for show. I mean summin like 80% of SUVs dont go off road at all anyway. So that only leaves a higher driving position. Thats the only thing a luxo sedan cannot offer (and the SUV would have more luggage space).

You said something about hydraulic lift. But realistically, can you see a CEO of a big company raising and lowering his suspension? no. Alot of luxo sedans have impressive speeds. like the Bentley, AMG, Brabus, a few variations of BMW's M sport and some alpina models. You wont find anyone, who wants a fast vehicle and goes for an SUV. The X5 is good, but handling isnt so good. Theres a tuning company that does Land Rovers. Overfinch. The put a V8 Corvette engine under the hood, but take half of it and throw it away and replace the crank shaft, pistons and main manifold with thier own products and give it air shocks and suspension.

Its all about what the customer wants. Thats why theres a hell-of-alot more luxo sedans than luxo SUV's. No one really wants to go near 200 mph in a luxo a SUV. And as for goin off road, CEO's would only do it for fun, but if it was business, they would take thier private learjets and fly over the places thier fast luxo sedans cant take them.
