Quote from tmbggeek Status? who cares about status. The interior of this car looks like it was made in 1850. Maybe some like that kind of luxury, but I want a car for driving, not to live in. I'd much rather have performance. When you're flying down a backroad at any kind of real speed, you won't care about the leather on your shifter. Although this obviuosly has impressive acceleration, I'd hate to go through a hard turn in it. Cause you're some poor bastard whose family wealth does not go beyond 10 million? Or even 1?
It's looking good, it's looking good... It looks bloody good.

Not so fast vipers. Check your history books like I have and you will know that Bentley's have always been big and heavy and raced cars that were smaller than them and won anyway. Sure the laws of physics still apply to this behemoth, but thats not the point of this car. Its made any way you could imagine; just ask the Sultan of Brunei who had one made from a range rover because they don't make four wheel drive cars themeselves! Its in a class by itself period.

I completely agree with mpritz, don't get me wrong, this a damn fine example of a car, I'm just more of a performance person, I'd take one, but never buy one.

Analogic, I don't think you know too much about what you speak of. While a Bentley does offer somewhat impressive performance, (especially considering its size)and excessive amounts of luxury, it is a rather useless car. Chances are that if you are a big fan of automobiles you usually lean towards cars that go fast and handle well. And while a Bentley may do this, there are hoards of other cars that just do it better and cost a lot less. If you are just looking for a car that offers luxury then I guess you cant go to much further than Bentley does to offer this. Let me ask you, what type of person buys a Bentley? A car enthusiast? a performance enthusiast? Not at all. These cars are made for one purpose, to allow very wealthy people to drive around in them so people like you and me can gawk at them because they are driving a car that costs as much as it does.
E-mail me if you have any comments etc.. mpritzkur@hotmail.com

Vipers I don't think you know much about Bentleys, Bentleys are not Rolls Royces. They are the perfect harmony between Luxury and Performance. This is one of the best handling luxury sport sedans in the world! And I guess you forget Bentleys return to LeMans? Came in Third there first year back in 72 years? And back then they were the cars to beat. They were known for performance! Performance is not new to them!

well this car is really nice in luxury but I have to disagree that it performs that well. yeah it performs good for a 5000 plus car but it really doesn't perform that good because it does weigh that much. but bentley is known for luxury and not speed

I agree. With unparalleled luxary, and amazing performance (especially for a 5500lb car) This car is truely a work of art.
The best car in the world, is one you build yourself.
