standart wrx goes from 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, and the 280bhp versions have more then 280bhp, its acually over 300.
all jap. cars say they have 280bhp becouse its the legal limit in japan.

1/4 mile times for the superbird are in the 12s. I dont think a suburu would take this at all, maybe on the dirt.

The amount of hp's is limited in Japan? Not emissions or engine size or something?

Super birds were produced for 1 year just to race in daytona. There were less then 2000 made and if you have ever seen one up close youll notice that they are put together like crap. The body is welded together with various parts from other cars. Plymoth had to make this car fast to be in daytona. When it came out it was the fasted 4 seater in the world and that big wing oin the back is to keep its ass on the ground since there is so little weight in the back. A suburu probably could beat it its a rally car its meant to be able to take corners fast and accelerate fast. The superbird is a clunky muscle car with a huge engine its not meant to be able to turn quickly. Anyways who wants a suburu over this. This is a nice ass car with a huge engine.

Why would you ever compare this to a Subaru? The Superbird was built to annihilate the competition in Nascar and it did and was subsequently banned. These two cars are nothing alike. It's not even comparing apples to oranges, it's like comparing bananas to watermelons.

come on, man...are you telling me that in your mind a WRX is better than this legendary and asskickin musclecar? this is the type of car that Petty dominated the 1970 NASCAR season with and was subsequently banned because the car was too damn fast...try doing that in your puny 4 banger japcrap WRX....in straightline accelaration and around the speedways this would run circles around the little WRX...who cares if this can't rally like the WRX, that's not what this is for...this is for whoopin little jap cars and their drivers who think they are all that...I bet you are jealous because it has a bigger rear wing than those in the Fast and Furious...the Superbird will always haul ass!!!

First off this car weighs what 2x as the subaru at least? and second you must realize that the stats on tis page are not exactly correct. this car put out about 500 hp. do u honestly believe that 280 hp will beat this car. unless the car weighed as much as a semi im not seein that happen. learn a little about cars then come back. and dont ever disrespect an old hemi mopar.

Also the WRX is 33 years newer, w/ better tech., weighs less, is worth less, doesn't sound muscular, and no this out performs it in matters of acceleration and top speed/ the 1/4 mile as well. Did I forget to mention that this 426 hemi SuperBird we are looking at in the forums is probably worth 200,000 dollars today. BTW this car actually dominated NASCAR so badly, also the first stock car to reach 200 mph +, that it was banned from NASCAR after one year cause nobody but these were winning?
SuperBirds are the coolest mopar ever and SRT-4s are the coolest modern day car/mopar.
SRT-4 vs. WRX = SRT-4 lynching the WRX. I LIKE the Skyline more than the Supra, doesn't mean it's better.

this was the first enginge to ever go 200mph in the world it was done in a daytona beach race and it is alot better than a damn subaru
