BMW M
Supercar Messiah - 1126

I heard that BMW is bringing back a car similar to the 2002. I think they are going to call it the 116 i, and it's designed to compete with directly with the GTI, Civic Type etc....
Does anyone else have any info?

Ah, yes the so-called 1 Series. There was word of it in the News secton at www.bmw2002.co.uk. It appears more to be more of an economy car than a true sports sedan.

Check out the pic below. It's a Photoshopped version of the current E46 Compact. Woulda been kinda neat.

I have seen a old concept pic of the "New 2002" and it looked quite nice. It looked like a Volvo 780 Turbo with a BMW grill...

I hate to break it to ya man. But the Datsun 510 was designed after the 1600-2, which is the same body as the 2002 just a different engine...

I have heard that, but I have not seen anything that would get my hopes up.

BMW are re-inventing the original M3. I will post a link when I can find where I saw it.
