 What do ya'll think? I don't want everyone to get pissed but do you guys think this is the best American car ever made? The specs are awesome and it looks good to. I personally think its the best American car made.

 i'd be tempted to say yes, if it wasnt ridiculously clear that the corvette has had this title. this is just my opinion though, as a truely good sports car has to provide reasonable power/performance for the price your paying, and im sorry, but for $300,000 more then a Z06, i wanna be able to beat a vette by more then fractions of a second.

 well yeah, ill have to agree that this cars performance isn't that impressive for a car close to $400,000. Sure its an exotic, but i would rather buy a corvette z06 and put $100,000 and it would be alot faster than this and it would be made the way i feel would be comfortable to me.

my favorite japanese car? Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
my favorite american car? Corvette Z06 or Mustang Cobra R
my favorite european car? TVR Tuscan S (sick!!)
my car in the garage? Nissan 270R

 How about this: Corvette as the best sports/production car to come out of the US, and Saleen S7 the best exotic/limited production car from the US.

I say this as the two cars con't really be compared.
I re-new my objection to this pointless endeavour!

 well i don't know, with the new dodge viper comin out its tough to tell, of course this car is a little faster, but it cost 400G's. The viper while a bit slower is only at the most 90G's, so ur lookin at a better bang for the buck. So for me its probably atie between those 2

 yeah i'd have too say so. the only thing is that when you say best that also brings price into it and that's a big pricetag. but if you talking about speed, handleing, and stuff like that it's the best without a dout

 It can be the best american car ever made, because it finally solves the problem that the american cars "Cannot handle" as many people says. This car will make nightmares for some U.S. car haters.

 Thats true. This is the best American handling ever made. The Z06 and SRT10 follow closely behind but I'd take the S7 over all of them.

 I have to agree with you, this car is the best American car built, in my opinion at least, sure there are American cars that go 230+mph, but speed isnt everything to a car, it has to have style, special characteristics, good statistics, and everything in between. I think that the Saleen S7 has all that a car can have, and this is some reasons why i think that the Saleen S7 is the best American car, i love this car, its in my top 10 for sure, without a doubt.

 Thanks... I really do think that the Saleen S7 would leave even some European cars in the dust. I think the American cars suck crisis is over thanks to Steve Saleen.

 I think it is beautifull, and since it is based on a race car (not like the Viper) the handling is probably very good. The only american competitor I can see coming is the Ford GT (remake of Ford GT40) that will be launched next year.

This car is a serious competitor in the Lamborghini Murceliago / Pagani Zonda class.
I love my Golf, it's made by the same guys who makes the Bugatti and Bentley :-)

 AS far as it being the best...no, this car is way overly priced in my opinion. For 2/3 of this S7's price you can get a car that would mop the floor with this.
You see a Viper you think "Sweet!"

 Well, it certainly wouldn't be lamborghini that would mop the floor with this. Please, name this car that costs 250 000 and would be so much faster. Other than a few kit cars such as the Caterham R500 or other Lotus 7 based cars, I can't think of one.
