i think it's overpricing too much
Don't ask what a car can do for you, ask youself what can you do for a car

Price is rarely an issue in this case. The best bang for the buck doesn't really matter. If you can afford a $200 000 car, then you can prolly afford this.

This is not at all expensive compared to an F1 or LMP car I am sure. Let alone the engine replacements of F1 cars fr every race. They could have made a cheaper car if the did not have every edge allowable under the rules. Also, if they actually sold a significant #, they would be able to cover the RD costs, which I think is what is reflected in the price, that and all the more or less one of fabrication.

And the Porsche GT2 has 462 HP, the new V10 will definitely push 500+ HP.

Bye.

I reckon there should be some kind of exam before people are allowed to become members here. Would keep most of the brainless retards out that seem to no nothing about how cars are built and work, and how rules work in motorsport.

The Gt2 is Torboed. If you turboe this one, you say hello to your 600hp...

Well, this is only my 3rd post and I can be considered a newbie here but I can spell Ferrari right.
And I can also tell that the guy is an idiot, comparing a Porsche with this stunning machine.

damn i seem to see a pattern of bitching about price vs. performance. in case you didn't read hte article it says that bmw MUST MAKE the car (1000 examples) to race in the GT classes. now think about it for a second if you HAD to sell something...and it was a desiraeable object wouldn't you want ot sell it for the highest possible price possible. also you forget in the pockets of millionaires that are able to afford cars in the 100k+ range. a couple hundred here and there is nothing in their minds. also name, marque, and racing tradition/name factors into the price. you say its stupid it buy but that's only because we normal people tend to think 100k and 400k is a big difference, because we dont make that much. but if you have like tnes of millions of dollars it wouldn't really matter would it.

I really think that this is one amazing vehicle... 444hp from a v8, and great design, but its just too overpriced...

This is one of those DTM cars init (Definatly too much)
this is a piece of crap
if you put this and a JGTC car on a track it wouldn't stand a chance in hell, Calsonic Skyline, Denso Sard Supra, Arta NSX, even a Silvia whould beat this,
BWM have to be the most over rated cars on the road, and for all the d*cks who say jap is common, you wanna come round my way theres about 4 BMW for every one honda, or nissan.
this is shit.

well what this is a full out german race car. it has 444 restricted horsepower. there are 2 trumpet like intakes in the grill. this car has more like 640 without the restrictors. everything from the engine to suspension is built for racing. 444000 is not a lot for a full out race car. 0 to 60 in 3 seconds, top speed around 200. this car can beat anything that is on the road that any normal guy can by even most ferraris or lambos. yes a gt2 porsche has nothing on this. to the morons that compare race cars to street cars, i hope u dont think that u know alot about cars casue ur stupid.

why is there so much talk about street racing, come on this is a car made for lemans style racing for the gt class. second the jap seris with the skylines and supra's well i dont know enough to talk about it but im wondering, if these cars are so great, then why are they not racing in international races, lemans, alms. if this m3 couldnt give a run for its money surely the gts corvettes, saleens and ferraris would and most likely smoke them.

Why is it that Americans don't understand that it's not all about horsepower, straightline performance, and what the numbers say? Before anyone can dis on BMW's, or any car for that matter, they have to drive one! We have both a 2006 M3 with 333hp and a 1969 Camaro with 500+hp and although they are completely different cars and are both very fun to drive, I find the M3 much more than the Camaro. I have driven many cars and none have given me the indescribable feeling that the BMW has. Just drive one.
