3-speed auto?! RU kidding me? I guess this car was designed only for top speed runs, because no respectable acceleration could be achieved with a transmission like that. I wonder where they got it from?

There are many drag racers using automatics. Torque multiplying is fun.

I've seen these cars at the show that evolved from the Crystal Cove show. The owners of both cars had the engine compartments open. I tried for more than twenty minutes to find the transmission. I did find some half shafts but still could'nt find what they were connected to. There are so many GM parts on this car it is astounding. I even recognized some parts from my own '92 Camaro. Somthing else I found interesting was that the driver of the purple roadster's head was completley past the roofline.

I've always liked the looks of the Vector WX-3. If I had the money and the means, I would acquire Vector Aeromotive and update the WX-3, giving it a longitudinal mid-engine layout and installing a modified version of the Hemi used in Chrysler's SRT vehicles. Also, this Hemi would be backed by a ZF transaxle like the one used in the Pantera.
