 They should, then more people woould actually like the NSX, instead of a handful of Loyalists.
I prefer the low grumble of an engine to that of a high whiner, because a whiner knows that they cannot accomplish their task, and a grumbler may not want to, but knows they can if they have to.

well, i know it was originally supposed to be between this motor and a low displacement v8 which i know some prototypes were built,

but now it almost seems sure that we may see this hybrid in the nsx.

 where did you get this info from. that would be awesome if the NSX had this engine. the NSX is already fast but more people would be interested in it if it had more hp. most people only judge cars by how much horses it has. thats a shame.

 they say it has 276HP (280PS) but some times they lie...they said they would not make a car with over 280PS (276HP) so every car they made (B4 2002) was clamed at that amount of HP. but in 202 they stoped that, but look at this, they said the jap. spec Toyota Supra Turbo had 276HP, and they de-tuned it, and gave it to the USA and it came out with 320HP...sounds fishy... and the nissan skyline GT-R was also said to have 276HP to the crank, but in Aus. they dynoed a stock GT-R, and it came out to 400HP to the wheels!


this is why, with most jap car's that are sports cars, you should not trust the HP. it's the same way with the EVO, WRX and RX-7's as well (but with the RX-7, the US version did have a lot less then 276HP)

like with the EVO, the jap spec. clames 276HP, yet they gave it a "massive detune" and it came out to 271HP, lol

look at preformance, not HP.
Porsche = Best sports car.
Audi = Best luxary car.
Toyota = Best truck / best 2 door car for under 25g's.
Nissan = Best 4 door car for under 25g's.

The Porsche GT, and Enzo are about $200,000 apart, yet they are VERY close cars in almost all ways, and people are debating witch one is better, when for the price of one enzo you could buy a Porsche C-GT and a GT2. hell, the price diff. between the C-GT and the enzo is bigger then that of the civic vs the GT2, but yet no one compairs those cars, why? because the Porsche is so good, it compairs with cars that cost 1.5 times what it costs, thats Porsche kickin' the ass of the avg. Enzo driver, one day at a time...

 Come on, many people have to put ass loads of money into a supra to make it go fast. A supra shouldn't be a super car, becuase when that stuff is stock, what kind of stuff does it have in it? And speaking of a supra, the old ones only came out with just above 300 horsepower, if not just about 320. Let's get real, the NSX, is a super car, and not many japanese engine companies come out with stock engines over 300 horsepower ..

 I thought they used an NSX engine in this in conjunction with an electric-motor. But, who knows? Maybe I'm wrong.

Japanese cars were limitted to 280ps, for the most-part. I can't speak for the American destined cars, but I know for a FACT that the Supra and NSX of Japan come with 280ps. There are a bunch of rumors going around that they lie, but family in Japan said the rumors all a crock of bull. They did say, however, that anyone in Japan that has the money and cares/wants to drive that much, can easily pump a Supra or NSX or Skyline or whatever car from 280ps to 350ps+. I'm not sure if any of the companies give a flying [expletive deleted] about that old agreement anymore, however.

It was a POS from the factory, but the owner still continued to add useless shit onto it and it still only works half the time.

 It would be great if they useed the hybrid drivetrain in the NSX, and what they could do with it is not only the usual hybrid save-gas thing, but also boost torque in the lower rpms so that the car makes 300bhp throughout the rev range. This would also help if applied on the RX-8, where the rotary engine is weaker in low rpms and also, I have heard, has some startup troubles. Mazda could also then increase the top end power of the engine with an ecu remap and create a really awesome car.

 I may be wrong, and dont bombard me with posts if i am, but i heard that the highest hp that a skyline ever came out of the factory with was between 1000 - 800 hp.
