Another french brand that died after the WW2.

So sad :(

The most prestigious French brands are dead.

"The main attraction of the Corvette was that it does nearly 175mph and costs about 35,000 (sterling)... But then i drove one at nearly 175mph and realised it probably wasn't the best way to go." -Richard Burns (2001 WRC champion)

Bugatti is still around... Remember that. The French are about to dethrone the McLaren F1 on the "fastest production car" hierarchy. Gonna sell it cheaper, too!

hehe im lookin forward to it. of course, in bugatti's case, its one of those situations where the company was RESURRECTED... not sure if it was by french, but i still look at it as Bugatti and not someone else

French cars have been extremely important to automotive developement. People like Andre Citroen have helped make the car possible. Renault designed the F1 engine that serves and the basis for all F1 engines used today. Ettore Bugatti (who was born in Italy, but built his cars in France) was one of the greatest automotive innovators ever, designing and racing some of the most extrodinary cars ever built. Although the French might have left the US b/c they made bad cars 15 years ago, a lot has changed, and any level headed enthusiast is probably wishing they could buy a Puegeot 406 Coupe, Renault Cilo Sport, or any other number of French beauties.

how many brands die in ww2?
I'm sick and tired of lazy gluttonous Americans #%!@ing about immigrants "taking" their jobs. It's not like they can literally come to America, ambush them in the parking lot and take their jobs.

imigrant: quick! there is an american, lets take his job.
