Look at the results of nearly all the races held in FIA-GT, ALMS, and Le Mans.....the older Ferrari 550GTS's usually outperform the 'newer' 575GTC's. Why? You'd think that with all those technological updates on the 575 it should walk all over the 550. Now, there's hardly a team in Europe that still campaigns the Ferrari 575GTC. BMS Scuderia Italia runs 550'S, Prodrive ran 550's, Larbre Competition runs 550's, etc.
What's the problem with the Ferrari 575GTC???
