Sure they can't compete with the cars of today but there is nothing in the world that can replace the feel of being behind the wheel of a classis like this.

So very true. I have always had a love for Caddy's ever since I was a very small kid. My grandfather has always had a Caddy and I loved every one. Nothing better than a Caddy (except for an S4, lol).

... Cant compete with todays cars?
HA HA HA, if you only knew. Not only do these cars survive head on crashes, but their top speed is like 140 mph. This car would destroy half of the new cars out there, and it weighs as much as 4 civic's.
geesh, dont count em out.

Unlike MOOCHACHA's statement in a not so faraway thread... These cars built the american car to what it is today. They are the countries ROOTS!
I'd like to share a revelation that I've had, during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species;I realized that you're not actually mammals. See; every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed! The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern... A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure. geesh, dont count em out. I think that these cars are much safer than todays compacts... I mean - these cars don't need to go too fast; just like (example)- Honda's - they don't need to go fast. But the old Cadillac's are much safer. They lack the technology, but their size makes up for it. And they have real horsepower.

The 50s, 60s, and 70s gave America the best cars ever. If only today's could be as good. The tailfins, the size, the engines, just to name a few.
Lingenfelter TT Corvette, built for Steve Dumler ~ O-60 : 1.97sec, 1/4mi. : 9.24sec@150.5mph ============================================= 1970 Buick 455 GS ~ 1/4mi. : 13.38sec@105mph, as tested by Motor Trend. With todays tire tech, it's around 12.2sec@120mph. ============================================= Support the U.S. of A. ~ Drive American. ============================================= Buick GSX ~ out of the 600(some) GSX's produced from March to May in 1970, about 100(some) were Apollo White, the rest, Solar Yellow. Today, about 118 still exist, and out of those, only 12 have the original paint. ============================================= AMERICAN MUSCLE WILL NEVER DIE!!! I LOVE YOU AMERICA!!!
