Well, then, and now, to a lesser degree, the more cylinders, the more prestige
Lingenfelter TT Corvette, built for Steve Dumler ~ O-60 : 1.97sec, 1/4mi. : 9.24sec@150.5mph
=============================================
1970 Buick 455 GS ~ 1/4mi. : 13.38sec@105mph, as tested by Motor Trend. With todays tire tech, it's around 12.2sec@120mph.

Support the U.S. of A. ~ Drive American.
=============================================
Buick GSX ~ out of the 600(some) GSX's produced from March to May in 1970, about 100(some) were Apollo White, the rest, Solar Yellow. Today, about 118 still exist, and out of those, only 12 have the original paint.

It's not that they didin't know how to use a V16, they couldn't build engines very well.

Most tools from that era couldn't even cut hardend steel.

every night you come into my room and pin me down with your strong arms you pin me down and i try to fight you you come inside me you fill me up and i become the night man
