i think who ever thought of the name XLR-8 should no longer be aloud to voice there opinion. the v8 is in almost every caddy on the street today. therefor the 8 that u wan't wouldnt be as powerfull of a name as you are hoping. however in just over a year there will be an XLR Platinum. this will be the ultimate car in the caddy family.

It's also worth noting that the SL65 is at least 50k more than the XLR-V.

It's also worth noting that when Cadillac designed this car, the name "SL65 AMG" never even came up at the table.
