The engine is smaller, and more powerful than both of its later models! I suppose that is when emissions took its toll on the Z?

Yeah, it has to do with the carburetters. OR it could just be the octane of the fuel used, which can scrape a few horsepower off.

The engine spec on these were rated at about 150hp, thats with the dual SU sidedraft carbs...
