For one this shouldnt even be compared to the Gallardo but the Murcielago nor the F-430 and not even the 997. The new Z06 is in the Carrera GT, Ford GT, Murcielago and Enzo class not the F-430, Gallardo and 911/997. This is GMs fastest car so it would only be fair to compare it to the fastest cars from the other manufactures.
Second the Gallardo is faster than the F430 so the Gallardo will smoke this at any givin day.
^^^ What an idiot... you cannot possibly think that the C6 can be compared to a CARRERA GT
or a ENZO, are you retarded thats the same as comparing a lawnmower to a Forumala one car... The C6 is in the Aston Martin Class/911 class, but no higher.... That class of cars are the top end of 'sports car' class, enzo, GT, murcielago, koeinssegg, F1, Zonda are 'supercars'

Who gives a shit about the Lambos? Lambos are not cares to compare for preformance. Sure they can preform pretty damn good, but they are show cars. also, on an episode of Top gear an evo 8 beats a Murcielago.

who knows how credible that is, but it seems pretty good.
Dont give me that crap about c6 being in the same class as the F430. The F430 is one of the most technologically advanced race cars on the planet. it is FERRARI'S V8 car. FERRARI'S car, do you understand that. and also i think you got something messed up up there. the purpose of the c6, is so that you dont have to pay 65K (sounds about right) for a corvette. I mean how do you think that every other person has a corvette in america??
My thing about Lambos and Ferrari's. I like them both, except Lambos are meant to drive slow, and for the narcisists out there make sure your seen. Ferrari's are for people who like to get their jollies from going fast.

I won't believe any Magazine #'s until I see the cars on the same strip on the same day with multiple driver's taking turns in each car. But I have to go with next year's 911 turbo, then Ford GT, then F430, followed by the Z06. The performance of these cars is all close, close enought that the better driver will win every time. The Z06 is too brutal for driving anywhere but the track, and the Ford GT is too priceless to drive hard at the track. The 911 Turbo is the most civilized of the four, and offers performance at least as good as the rest. Plus, it has a small back seat for the little ones, if you have some.
Who says America can't compete???

But the Z06 was faster around Nurburgring's Nordschleife road course, by 2-10sec. over the Zonda S, Gallardo and the Murcielago, and has the tie-breaker over the 996 GT2. Oh, and just 2sec. behind the 997 Turbo and the McLaren-Mercedes SLR. Here's their times:
'07 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren: 7:40sec.
'07 Porsche 997 Turbo: 7:40sec.
'05 Pre-production Corvette Z06: 7:42sec.
'04 Porsche 996 GT2: 7:42sec.
'05 Pagani Zonda S: 7:44sec.
'06 Lamborghini Murcielago: 7:50sec.
'06 Lamborghini Gallardo: 7:52sec.
All times based from Motor Trend Sept. 2005 pg. 18-19 ("Z06 Hot Laps the 'Ring"), and Motor Trend Dec. 2007 pg. 19 ("Nissan Rocks the 'Ring") issues.
Mind you the Corvette Z06s time comes without the best tires, and unseasonably muggy conditions, plus not optimum suspension setup, as well. Also, was driven by LeMans class-winning C5R & C6R Corvette Racing Driver, Jan Magnusson one of them, (of course).
