The Ferrari teams don't have any factory-backing and only a few of the cars were factory-built. The Ferraris are much more complicated than the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR's, twice the cost, they have fewer race parts available, and they're horrendous to maintain. The Porsches on the other hand are less expensive, have factory input, more parts, and they RUN LIKE CLOCKWORK. Plus you've got to consider that racing Ferraris are outnumbered as much as 10 to 1 against the Porsches.

F-430 could SMOKE the 997 any day of the week
Super cars are made to run over everything in its path, then run it over again for good measure. There designed to melt ice caps, kill the poor, poison the water table, destroy the ozone layer, decimate indigenous wild life, recapture the Falkland Islands, and turn the entire third world into an uninhabitable desert. -Jeremy Clarkson

Quote from JeepersCreepers911 F-430 could SMOKE the 997 any day of the week
"We think we could get 1000bhp out of this engine, revving to 9500 or 10,000. You'd probably then be able to do 250-255mph, but it would be hard to meet the required emission standards, in order to be able to homologate such an engine." Gordon Murray about the Mclaren F1
"The 787B was reported to have a redline around 9000rpm. However, interviews with Mazda's 787B race engineers revealed that the power of the quad-rotor increased dramatically above 9000rpm. One engineer stated that the car could develop more than 930hp with a redline around 10500rpm. They also discovered that all aspects of the engine were still in excellent condition and could have run another 24-hour race" Wikipedia

Haha, the Challenge cars compete in their own series with nothing but other Ferraris, you want the F430 GT.
Haha. The futility of ricers, huh? It's so sad how Americans think their little cars are the best. They compare their Corvettes with economy cars like Civics. They can only compare their mighty V8 cars to crappy four-bangers like the Civic. They can't step up to V6 cars like the RX-7, Supra, and Skyline because their cars don't stand a chance.
