2.9 is not that great form 1000hp, is that the work of turbo lag?

Is this car also ... not sure what you're claiming is faster?
The reality is that the difference between 2.25 and 2.9 at those speeds is almost impossible to guage. It could be temperature, barometric preasure, street temperature, the wind ... haha. Almost anything.
IN a nut shell .. it's FAST, and according to most THE FASTEST ... is it 2.23, 1.8 or 2.9 ... personally I couldn't tell the difference. They are all way to fast and the launch itself would have to be perfect in order to even get close.

Assuming constant acceleration to 60, which it isn't. But whatever.

Its the work of no car can handle 1000 hp w/o spinning the tires to oblivian. Put some drag slicks on this car and if it even hooks up then, it will drop significantly.
