 As we reported previously, Lamborghini is working on one of the most expensive car ever: a $1.6 million Murcielago. Now has been made official: the car will be unveiled in Frankfurt.

“I can confirm those rumors, but at this stage I will have to make you wait until the Franfurt Auto Show, where we will release more details…I can’t confirm the price at this stage, but it will be very expensive indeed,” said Lamborghini President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.

Styling was inspired by Lockheed Martin’s latest F22 Raptor fighter jet. Lamborghini will build only 20 examples of the car, all of which have already been sold.

I can see how it was inspired by the F-22 raptor, it looks like a spaceship.... Or the middle of a transformation from LP640 to Autobot.

But its starting to grow on me.
