Consider this: The Hennessey viper 1000 TT has long reigned as king of the musclecar/tuner hill. The viper weighs 3430 lbs, has 1000 hp and 1100 ft lbs of torque, and reached 210.2 mph in the standing mile. This new corvette weighs only 3130 lbs, has 1518 hp and 1400 ft lbs of torque, and reached 226.25 mph in the standing mile. Obviously then, the corvette is much lighter, more powerful, and faster than the viper. So if the viper (coupe)'s top speed is claimed to be 255 mph, imagine what the vette could do! It should be almost as aerodynamic as the viper, and simulators have pegged its theoretical top speed at 300 mph!
Would it be unrealistic then, to expect 250+ mph? What do you think this car will ACTUALLY be capable of???

Motortrend did a test with this car, the Viper, the Saleen s7 twin turbo, and two other tuners. This was the only one that broke down and couldn't finish. It never did afterlike 5 tries so i wouldn't want to take it to the limit.
