Where is the six speed for the enthusiasts? Last time I checked this was a coupe!

i wuz at the chicago auto show. someone already put a down payment one of the first ones to come off the line. he the the special pink paper n' everything! lucky @$$!

Yeah...I'm not too impressed. The styling is gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but isn't 425 hp standard for the 6.1L Hemi? I also think that with all the advancements in materials, they could have (easily) created a fairly plush car that didn't tip the scales at over two tons. And if the automatic is the only transmission available...I think that Chrysler will need to rethink their iconic sports coupe.

It's even more depressing than a 4 door charger . . and i don't see why all the new U.S. models look like they were designed by hotwheels enthusiasts. to me this car looks like it's made out of plastic and it has the same performance (exact same) as the charger. this is just another embarrassment

The manual comes out in 2009. Chrysler wanted to release the Challenger A.S.A.P. and the six speed version wasn't ready yet. Also look for an R/T version in 2009 with the new 380hp 5.7L Hemi to compete head on with the Mustang GT.
Who says America can't compete???
