 i think the 0 to 60 is going to be at least 3.3, considering the Z06 was 3.4 and that has 500 horses. This is one of the greatest supercars in the world, no one can say thats not true.

 Given the announcement that the output is 638 horses and 605 pounds of Torque,I think it will be arround 3.2 or 3.1,call me crazy if you want but it's true.ZR1 IS THE BEST CAR EVER!!

 I am an AVID Corvette fan. My brother is a Corvette Tech at a GM dealer in VT and my uncle works for the Corvette museum. So the information they get is fairly accurate. the new ZR1 does 0-60 in 2.7 sec does the 1/4 mile in 9.55 @ 155 mph and its top speed is well over 200 mph. hope that helps to set things straight.

Man and here I thought it would and have heard 0-60 mph in 3.5-3.3 sec. and the 1/4 mile in 11.1 @ 125 mph. So if these numbers are in fact correct look out SRT-10, 599 GTB, MOURCIELGO LP640 AND F50!!!

 225 MPH is what I was told while attending the 08 NYIAS. The baddest car since the Veyron.

The following do not stand a chance against it:
Z06, Ferrari Enzo-599-F50-F40, Ford GT/GTX-1, Porsche Carrera GT, Merc SLR, Bentley Conti, Viper, Murcielago, GT-R, Zonda.

Only a select few can rock this, list is:
McLaren F1, Koenigsegg, Veyron, FXX, Ultima, B Engineering Edonis,

 GM grossly underpublishes the specs for the '09 zr1. I work for Hendrick Motorsports, and we got a shipment of 5 zr1s in the other day for our drivers. Being the curious gearheads we are, we put Jimmie Johnson's zr1 on the dyno, and on the first run, instead of the published 638hp, it put out 645hp untouched. All said and done, after playing with the injection, timing, etc, we got it up to 684 hp at the crank, and a calculated 2.8sec 0-60 time. Don't believe me? Fine. I honestly don't care. I just know that I saw an American supercar do things its not supposed to do...and the dyno doesn't lie.

 i heard intop gear magazine the corvette zr1 can do 0-60mph in 3.0 secs and i heard that in motertrend they tested it and it recorded 0-60mph in 3.4 secs

do u mean 645 at the crank or the wheels? If it was 684 at the crank it would be about 616 at the wheels counting a 10% drivetrain loss. considering it has more than 10% drivetrain loss i doubt its above 590 horse at the wheels. i doubt it breaks a 0-60 under 3 seconds without some serious racing slicks if that.

I think it's the best American car but after you think of all of the other cars in this world saying it's the best is streching it a little.
