Apparently when DeTomaso released this car, the base engine was the Ford 5L V8, which produced a modest 305bhp. What this site does not tell you is that DeTomaso also offered a twin turbo version of this car that boasted 450bhp, making this car a true supercar contender. DeTomaso claims that the Pantera 2TT has a top speed of over 180mph. In fact, the twin turbo, Gandini-styled Pantera 2 could probably dust every Ferrari of the same era when it was released in the early 90s (with the exception of the F40).
