Yup, it was a ford V-8. Elvis Presly actually had a pantera, and when
it didnt start, he shot it. Its true - I swear over the XJ220.

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had, during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species;I realized that you're not actually mammals. See; every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed! The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern... A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure.

This car was designed in 1970, what kind of lambo exactly does it wanna be you moron, lambo and ferrari both totally ripped off the panteras styling, if it wasnt for the pantera ferraris would still look like nissan pulsars and have 190 hp, and for lambo they made tractors when this car was designed, and dubbed the ferrari killer

1.ferrari before pantera
2.pantera
3.ferrari after pantera

any questions, if you dont know anything about this car dont post, i have restored 5 panteras, and it makes me sick when people say panteras look like other cars, the design was completely original when pantera did it, and then ferrari and lambo copied it, just look at the pictures

While lambo was making second rate tractors The original supercar De Tomaso Pantera, ferrari engineers still cringe at the name.

Didn't the Pantera designer also design the Maserati Merak? They look almost exactly alike.

Hey reallythough, Lamborghini began making automobiles in 1963 with the 350GTV. And by the time the Pantera was put into production, they had the Miura; possibly the most elegant and powerful Italian at the time. This is not to say the Pantera isn't a great combination of American power and Italian styling. Your statememnt about Lamborghini though, is false.

actually, I know of a few better cars in this catagory (older GT).
-Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona for one
-Lamborghini Miura
-and then the lambo countach
I do actually like this car, just not as much as other cars.

this car is pretty cool in the styling department, but a few problems hamper it:
-unreliable
-isn't as fast as other GT's of the time. A VW corrado SLC could beat it in top speed.
-it's extremely uncomfortable and cramped inside, whereas the ferrari mentioned above is nice and comfortable, and no wind noise.

I spose this thing could out-handle the ferrari, cause the ferrari was made for top speed, rather than be a nimble sports car...

Just putting in my 2 cents.

a proud member of the Volkswagen club... whatever it's called. V dub forever!

No American cars, here:
1993 Volkswagen Corrado SLC
1988 Porsche 944 Turbo
Volkswagen "nardo" W12 concept
2001 Porsche 911 Turbo
2000 BMW M3 E43
2002 Nissan 350Z
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8
Bugatti Veyron 16/4
Aston Martin Vanquish
Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona
1994 Mazda RX-7
1967 Ferrari 330 P4
2002 "Enzo" Ferrari (F60)
Audi Sport Quattro S1 group B Rallye
Audi RS6
and much much more.

I laugh in the face of the socialist pig that is America!

i think this forum has a very immature touch... it's a lot of shit-talk... sadly... anyway back to the car...

it is very beatiful... when i see car's like this in traffic it's hard to believe it's so old... and it has a lot more than the looks...
