The 250 LM takes a little time to get used to looking at, but wait long enough and you will see it is fabulous. It won Le Mans in 1965 and was the inspiration for the 360 Modena we have today. Right now one of the originals will cost you no less than $1,500,000 with the average price range set at $2,000,000-$5,000,000. Its worth every penny. An absolutely breathtaking supercar.

WTF? What is wrong with you? If this car is so terrible then why are the 32 that were built worth $2,500,000 to $5,000,000 today? You don't like Ferraris simply because you will never be able to have one. Moron.

Does anyone have a figure for existing examples in the U.S.? I try to see as many interesting vehicles as possible, and in all my experiences, I've only seen 2 different examples (vs. 5 different 250 GTO's)

Sorry. But I bet there are several websites out there that can tell you the current whereabouts of the cars. I myself have seen only one Ferrari 250LM and 2 Ferrari 250GTO's in the US.

one of the 1/18 Ferraris in my collection happens to be a 250LM and this is a very beautiful machine...one of the best looking Ferraris ever

Since I last posted, I've seen another 250 LM. If you can get to a Ferrari Challenge race, you definitely ought to go. It's stupendous- Ferraris the likes of which you've never seen, and out on the track like God and Enzo intended.
