It's a Duesey! - 11430

Two years ago, Chirsties sold a 1963 Ferrari 330 P3 racecar for $5.3 million, and for the same reason this car will be pricey, history. This cars history is worth millions, only some 70 cars have won LeMans, and virtually everyone is either owned by the company that built it, in a museum, or lost, very few are in private hands. As such, any LeMans winner that is up on the open market is easily worth millions. Also, if you think that selling price on this car will be low (relatively speaking, of course) b/c of the bearish world markets, you'd be mistaken. Cars like this have price that are basically fixed at or above, never below their value. The reserve (and I assure you there will be one) will be very high ($5 million is a good guess), and if this car doesn't reach that, it simply won't sel.. Nobody is going to be getting a steal here. My prediction is it won't sell. Christies big car last year, a Alfa 2300 didn't meet its reserve at 'only' $1.2 million, and the market was higher last year than it was this year.

To get an old-school ferrari V12 to run reliably for the length of le mans is worth 5 million in itself, but to have it win the race... i would gladly pay 10 mil for this; If I had the money of course
1999 MTM Audi S4 2001 VW Passat 2000 Yukon Denali 1964 E-type Jag Roadster 1967 E-type Jag Coupe
That's right, MTM Audi S4, 400 hp at the quattro wheels... oohhhh baby. European cars rule all. Denali and Escalade used to rule the trucks, but Cayenne, Tourag, and Pikes Peak have won that right too. I understand why the German's are trying to unload Chrysler.

The reason that someone would pay that much money for this car is so that they can say such things as "I own the last front engined Ferari to win Le Mans", and so on, not because of the type of car it is. How many people can say that?

5 mil?? Thats too much.

A car that costs more than 6 houses (large ones too)? 5 Mil is 10 times more than the price I would consider reasonable for this car.

It's still much cheaper than the 250 GTO.
I don't like that much the design , but driving it must be incredible.

I bet the Sultan of Brunei bought it? The rich bastard owns an incredible number of Ferrari's (and a lot of especially for him modified ones) including five F50 and 2 Enzo's (but I guess he doesn't have them yet)
"Le supercar italiane sono le migliori perche', mi dispiace per tutti gli altri produttori, nessuno sa metterci la passione di cui noi Italiani siamo capaci"
Enzo Ferrari was a really inspiring man: did you folks know he often listened to one of his engines? He just let the 'bare' engine be started in the factory and let it run for hours...incredible but true
