 Personally, I never liked the rear-view mirrors that just stick straight up in the air. If I had one that would be the only thing I'd change on it. Other than that, the car is fabulous.

 those mirrors are hideous, but I would put a scoop in the front lip, to have better flow to the intercooler(not turbo)

 yeah i'd change the mirrors but can u imagine if this car was to run in to a pedestrion in an accident, it wouldnt be safe for the person walking. it would probably cut their legs in half.

 A scoop on the front lip wont get any more air to the intercoolers. This is a mid engine car. the intercoolers are mounted on top of the engine, right under the bonnet. They get a good amount of air because the bonnet is louvered.

I have to agree they don't look good, but it's a characteristic of the 288, I wouldn't touch them, and as said, they make up for an excellent pedestrian mangler >

Hitting 312HP on the bank, top speed should be near 275km/h, 0-60 is just under 6 secs and the money I have to pay for insurance and taxes is insane (fucking Belgian government), but damn, this car's well worth it.
And, still own my 480GT, Volvo 4 Life!

 i'm pretty sure that this is the 288 GTO, but they have just decided to leave off half of the name. just goes to show the infinite wisdom of supercars.net.

 I am not a big fan of the side morrors either. But ya know what? If I am evver lucky enough to own one I would not change anything except the tires, whick would probably be bald every 6 months!!

 Well, there is a racing modified version, by Ferrari, with over 600 bhp and that is a bit faster. If I could get a souped-up model, I'd take that over this one. But nothing to CHANGE, per se.

 The mirrors are a necessity to get any rearward visibility at all. The other alternative is a flying mirror like the optional mirror on the Testarossa. So, while the mirrors may not be optimal, they beat the alternatives.
