These awsome machines were released as having a top speed of 180mph, but really, they were geared to go more than 190, no shit, these cars are #$%#ing legendary.

Surely it's a legendary fast car. The F40 was based on this babe, so you could tell this is the car wich started the F-Series!

Hey, look. I love Ford as much as the next joe. But the above reply has you living up to your postname. There isn't a stock stang alive that could take this car. (Now, a GT 40 would be a different story....).
The 288 GTO is just drop dead gorgeous. And fast..., and has really cool seats!
Its performance didn't compare badly with the F40, and the original sticker of the 288 GTO was less than half that of an F40.
This car deserves its reputation. If you have a criticism, fine. But, come up with a legitimate one, and keep the "car biggotry" to yourself.
