How I say it is a spoiler is completely attached to the car like the new Mustang SVT cobra.

A wing is separated from the body like the F40s wing.

You don’t hear the world spoiler in racing do you. Just listen to David Hobbs about it.

A Spoiler is completely attached to the rear of the body. And is not classed as a wing because of the wing theory, the wing uses airflow over and under the wing. Like an airplane but the opposite way. The wing is shaped so the low pressure area is under the wing causing a force to push the wing downwards making downforce.

A spoiler only creates slight pressure and is why it is never used in racing.

NASCAR cars use spoilers.

Wait a second. NASCAR? Racing? My bad. I guess spoilers really aren't used in racing.

wing vs. spoiler all depends on what car its on. a wing wudnt look good on an acura but an a dodge muscle car it wud look good.
