I doubt that it is a F1 engine as the revs arn't up high enough and the hp is too low. plus how could it be from a F1 when its a v8.

The 1998 Koenigsegg CC Concept, was fitted with a F1-engine (a V12 not a V10) made streetlegal, this engine will later end up in a special edition of the Koenigsegg CC.

Wrong again boys. You see the egine in the upcoming edition of the CC is powered by a boxer 12 which was designed by motori moderni in the early 90s for Subaru. It'll probably be supercharged as they'll put it in the car. They will get an engine which lays very low in the car and therefor get better wieght balance. The engine is expected to pump out over 700 hp when it is built.

Ok, but this engine was a F1-engine in the begining, right?

In this Koenigsegg it is, but the next Koenigsegg, or maybe a special edition of the CC will probably have a flat-12, F1 engine, designed by Motori Moderni. And Koenigsegg have bought the rights to that engine.

I went and checked out the CC concept's info to see how accurate you are, and I think you might be mistaken.
The engine in the concept is 3.8 liter V-12, capable of 550bhp@9000rpm. While the rpm range is high, and the horsepower-per-liter is impressive, it still falls far short of a F1 engine. If it ever was an F1 engine, then it must have been from at least a decade and a half ago. So, that makes it relatively outdated.
As for the comment that all F1 engines are V-10's, this is incorrect. Throughout the years of F1 they have had engines ranging from flat-6's to V-16's. At one time they even had turbochargers on them. It wasn't until just recently that F1 went fully to V-10's.

We know that.
We are talking about present F1 cars ofcourse!
Everyone knows that they use V10 engines with a max capacity of 3 litres. And some, people know of the history you just mentioned, i for one, did.

I own one of these beauty's and it does not have an F1 engine. Although it is fast it has a to low amount of horse power to be classified as F1 altough this car is stunning and amazing to drive. Just take a lookat these pictures-

You own one of these do you? You're a new member and you're making a comment like that. Provide pictures of you with it or get highly dissed. And that would be by everyone. It happens every time. Also the power output doen't determin if an engine is an F1 engine or not. It's an F1 engine if it's been in an F1 car.

Ford or Cosworth used a V8 engine in the Formula One Championships a couple of years ago. Its limited to 3.0 litres, but in theory, it could be a flat four if somebody thought they could build one with enough power. The rules stipulate it can't exceed 3.0litres, not that it has to be a certain configuration. It could be a 3.0l v458

since its modified by Cosworth..its All ford, being that Ford owns Cosworth. You must really dislike Ford, being that you almost bit your tongue for thinking of even giving them credit. But then again, you didnt give them credit.
