Not counting tuners and one off's I'd say its either the Murcielago or the countach 5000 s.

As far as a car I would most like to own, definately the new Lambo Barchetta. I saw it in Detroit and WOW! But as far as the best Lambo, in the sense of the biggest automotive accomplishment and the best for its time, I would say the 1970 Lamborghini Miura S Jota. 440 hp, less than 2000 lbs, and 0-60 in 3.6. 3.6 is very fast for today, 2003, much less 33 years ago in 1970. Also the first ever midengined production car. I would take either...or both!
