 I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY AND THE PRIVALEGE OF RIDING IN ONE OF THESE BEASTS DOING ABOUT 200 MPH, AND LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING THIS IS FAST AS A MOTHER, AT 195 AND THIS PLASTERS YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE SEAT WITH SO MUCH FORCE YOU CAN'T PULL IT OFF, THEN YOU HIT 200 AND YOUR HEART STARTS RACING WHEN YOU SEE THAT SPEEDO MOVE AND YOU WONDER HOW THE HELL CAN WE BE GOING THIS FAST, THEN YOU DOWNSHIFT BECAUSE YOU'RE TOO MUCH OF A PUSSY TO KEEP REVVING YOUR QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLAR SPORTS CAR AT THE RED LINE, AND YOU ALMOST FEEL AS IF YOU JUST HAD A SEXUAL ENCOUNTER WITH A PORN STAR, I MEAN ITS INTENSE, I SERIOUSLY RECCOMEND IT TO EVERYONE, EITHER HAVE A FRIEND WHO HAS ONE OR STEAL ONE AND CRUISE TO MEXICO.

 you know 200 mph is fast probly for me 130 is fast coz i just got my licence the quickest i have ever driven a car is around 80 mph but i have been in a porsche (not driving) going 280 k/mh and i m getting a z06 in a year can anybody tell me some advice.......lol

Btw i saw diablo on some show here in sweden and i even recorded 3-4 minutes good quality VIDEO of it and even recorded it when it drove away....man i was so impressed!!! i almost cryed when i heard the engine...so anyway is there some way to convert from VHS tape to MPG or something ??? so i can put in on web?!

The fastest I've gone in a corvette, (quite recently) was my uncles friends. It was a torch red 1998 C-5 convertible, and we were on a long straight highway, at about 8:30 in the morning, going to a wedding ceremony sheduled for 11:00 AM. It was in calgary, and we were in edmonton. So, if we did'nt want to be late, we had to go FAST. For the most, he went 80 Mph (about 130 kph) - but on a long part, when no cars could be seen, he opened it up. Boy, that was f****n FUN!!! God, the car was going almost 170 MPH!!! It was so awesome. regardless to say, we got to the church at 10:43 AM. what a ride. And it'l probably NEVER happen again.

 He's lying because 195 mph won't press your head against the headrest. Nice try though, physics will explain that only accelleration will cause your head to be pressed against the headrest. The highest point of accelleration on this car is probably between 20-40 mph, not 195-200.

 That was well spoted. i hadent noticed untill you pointed it out. plus at a constant speed it you had no idea of you surrondingds it is as if you are not moving at all.

 Someone with common sence finally shows themself on this website. Nice figuring but if you were in a McLaren F1 there would be the thing of "I don't want to take my head off the headrest so that way it makes a nice story to post on SC.Net." tyep thing. But there probably is a time when you are going so fast that you can't move.

 I'm just wondering...

If you keep your car at really insane velocities...like say..200 mph or even more...for like 15 minutes...won't your car start ripping itself off?
