hey this car is the competitor for the hummer and actually outperformed it except in two areas: price and production, it is safe fast and rugged, what every suv is supposed to be

I would have to agree. Conceptually, a Lamborghini SUV is wrong. However, it's so impressive, I still like it! This thing was faster than a stock Comaro of the day, and as already mentioned, is as good off the road as a hummer!! I would love to have one!

ummm..guys.. I hope you know that the LM002 was designed as a competitor for the AM Genereal Humvee during the 1980's when Chrysler temporarily owned Lambo. It was to replace the old Jeeps. Unfortunately, Chrysler couldn't support Lambo and got rid of it...and AM General won the contest cuz it was produced in North America.
But the LM002 is generally owned and used by rich oil field owners in the ARAB countries.
Enjoy =)

What is so wrong about a lamborghini suv? Porsche is making one. Who cares? It looks phat too. There is no way that I would turn one of these down. And it must have had a production higher than 300 because I see them all the time in California and Florida.

i think that we all forget that lamborghini starting in the tractor business. good move to go to supercars. but this is sweet. this would make it alot easier to own a lambo, making it less exotic, but it would still be cool...

In retrospect, I'd have to say this was quite an accomplishment, being that they lead the fray into the SUV era. Plus, the thing was originally commisioned by the Saudi Arabian Army from use in the desert and for an SUV (hell anything) in 1986, it was pretty fast. And you have to remember, Lamborghini originally made tractors, and used the money he earned from than venture to produce sports cars, so an SUV is, in actuality, a step up from a tractor!

What's so weird about a Lambo SUV? Just like pepelepeau (or something like that, sorry man, difficult name... ) said, Lamborghine first made tractors and no cars. Then they decided to construct cars, and as you all know, they're doing a pretty fine job...

preach it man!!!!!
I'd like to share a revelation that I've had, during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species;I realized that you're not actually mammals. See; every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed! The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern... A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure. Here are some quotes from Car & Driver's Brock Yates & Autocar.
Brock Yates: "Once the tach needle sweeps past 5000 rpm, the LM002 sheds its street clothes and begins to operate like something out of DC Comics. The big engine howls unearthly tones through its dual exhaust and suddenly one is seeking out 3-series Bimmers, 300E Mercs, and unready Z28 Camaros. To shock and humiliate their hapless drivers is one of the more civilized urges one gets behind the wheel of this leviathan."
As for handling and stick, it did surprisingly - no, astonishingly -well on curvy roads, and braking power was amazingly high. Off road, "the surprisingly supple Lambo suspension soaked up the impacts like a sprinting tiger. The brute is pure feline when it comes to rapid off-road transit - truly the best such machine we have ever encountered."
Autocar: "With the works driver, something of a Kamikazi pilot, we drove up a hill with an angle of 30 degrees, which the LM took with great ease. It was followed by a 50-degree hill. In either case the car just climbed. One has to depend very much on the car since the only thing you can see in that situation is the hood. Now on to a 70-degree hill. We aren't sure if we would like it but, once again the car just climbed upward. Bystanders reported the front wheels coming off the ground. We should be in the Guinness Book of World REcords by Now."
I think you are right, this wrong....so very much wrong. ARE YOU COMPLETELY NUTS!!

This thing is quite amazing. It has the same engine as the Diablo, costs £350 to fill the tank, each tyre costs £1,500 (side walls reinfored with carbon fibre), and for a pub quiz answer General Khandfi has a few of them..lol.But yeah Id rather have this than a Hummer..jsut to be filthy rich really.

Do you know something MegaFan.Lamborghini started making trakters and makes also now trakters

No, its not wrong. it was designed for the military but the design from AM general won out. its offroad performance wasn't that great, it had a independent suspension that didn't give much wheel travel for real rough terrain. the lm002 was made for fast desert/baja type transport. Lamborghini should do a remake of this animal but 1000lbs lighter.

The design may be a little boring,but IT'S A LAMBORGHINI!!!!!! It's all about performance u dumbasses. Having a lambo would be sweet, but having a lombo that posseses the rarity of this, would be downright hype!! It's a sick ass SUV!!! does hummer have performance like this baby? no!! so just shut up. THIS IS COOLER THAN THE PORSCHE CAYENNE!!!
