Hispano Suiza of Spain was one of the great European marques. Marc Birkigt, a Swiss engineer, and Damian Mateu, a Swiss banker, started the company in 1904. Birkigt's first designs resembled race-abouts powered by 3.0 and 4.5 liter, inline-4 engines. The sporting nature of Hispano Suiza attracted King Alfonso who bought more than 30 cars during production.

The HS21-GTS is the latest work of Mazel Engineering based out of Spain. Over the last couple years the company has produced several odd-ball concept cars that bare the Hispano-Suiza name.

Alfonso XIII, King of Spain, took a great liking the Hispano-Suiza marque. At times, he was known to have over 30 fine examples in his fleet. Recognizing his loyalty, the Company renamed the Type 15T to the Alfonso XIII.
