24/04/2009 - Throughout 2009 the Morgan Motor Company is celebrating one hundred years of continuous manufacture of motorcars. The company has remained in one family’s ownership since the founder HFS Morgan made his first car in 1909. As part of the Centenary celebrations Morgan announces a truly special model.

In 1963, John Sprinzel contacted Chris Lawrence of LawrenceTune to produce a new body that could be bolted onto a production chassis and make it more competitive. This followed the success of Lawerence tune's 'TOK 258', the +4 Super Sports that won its class at the 1962 Le Mans. As a result, three alloy bodied +4 Coupes were made and named after their creators Sprinzel & LawrenceTune.

The Morgan LifeCar is a concept car due to be launched at the Geneva Show in March 2008. The LifeCar’s purpose is to demonstrate that a zero emission vehicle can also be fun to drive. The combination of performance, range and fuel economy will allow a sporting driver of the future to demonstrate a concern for the environment.

In 2009, a new Morgan appeared at the opening round of the FIA GT3 Silverstone meeting that mimicked the recently released Targa version called the SuperSports. Like the earlier Aero 8 racecars, this was designed and run by AutoGt Racing out of Dannemarie, France.

The new Morgan 4-Seater maintains the strong line of 4 wheel, fourseat car production from the Morgan factory since 1936. New for 2006 is the exciting 4 seater from Morgan. Long awaited by aficionados, the 4 seater makes a welcome return with a raft of new specification, options and for the first time in its 70-year history, engine choice.

In 1962, Christopher Lawrence and his team at Lawrence Tune achieved Morgan's greatest success at Le Mans with a modified +4 Roadster. This later became the prototype to the Super Sports model which featured a lighter body and more powerful 120 bhp engine.

Aeromax is a unique Morgan 8 commissioned by Prince Eric I. Sturdza, President of Banque Baring Brothers Suisse. First drafted on paper, Matthew Humphries worked closely with the customer to draw up this this long distance touring coupe. Particular requirements included gullwing boot openings, hardwood and traditional pleated leather interior and a large flat load area behind the seats.

The Morgan Motor Company is celebrating its return to the race track at Le Mans with special commemorative editions of its classic Plus 8 and 4/4 sports cars.

Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan's first automotive design was similar to this 1933 Super Sports. Its 3-wheel design offered good performance at a third of of the price. From 1910 until 1930 Morgan boasted the three-wheeler could out-perform standard cars by having a very low center of gravity, combined with a lightweight chassis.

The Aero 8 is a radical new two-seater sports car which combines traditional Morgan design and construction with state-of-the-art technology. It is the Morgan Motor Company's first completely new car in 30 years. Introduced in Europe in 2001, the long-awaited American model was unveiled at the LA Auto Show in December 2003.

In 1909 H. F.S Morgan built his first car which was this three-wheeled Morgan. It was powered by a front-mounted Peugeot engine that produced 7 bhp. This car would set the trend for further cars that used technology resembling motocycles in three-wheel cars.
