Of the most recent plans to resurrect the Bizzarrini name is this one-of displayed at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. VGM Motors, who have already constructed a Bizzarrini P538 replica, have made this GTS as a modern interpretation of the 5300 GT, which was Bizzarrini's most prolific model.

Bizzarrini always had a keen sense for racing. Despite working for both Ferrari, then Lamborghini, and contributing to their best models, the 5300 was the first car fully credited to his name . Eventually, the very same companies he worked for would become key competition. As an underdog, Bizzarrini knew what he was up against, but he never stopped trying.

Well before Giotto Bizzarrini ever made a car under his own name, he gained a reputation working with companies such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. His aim was to beat these past employers on the track, but that also meant selling road-going versions to help pay the bills.
