The first of many Chrsyler Specials by Ghia, this showcar debuted at the 1953 Paris Motor show for C. B. Thomas, the head of Chrysler's Export Division. A small production run was fabricated by Ghia, but used a longer wheel base to accommodate a full-size trunk. These were known as the GS-1 or simply Chrysler Special.
