2006 A_R_T CLS GTR 620

The developers from ART in Nuremberg, Germany successfully launched their CLS GTR into the segment of top-class sports cars. Tightly focussed upgrades transformed the CLS63 AMG into a meaty supercar with brilliant performance. At the same time, its appearance offers a display of diplomatic elegance without reverting to the harsh design lines its competitors.

The GTR is available in two different motor performance versions with the GTR 620 Export Version having 620hp/890Nm which propels the sedan to 62 mph (100km/h) in 4.0 seconds. Also in development is a sport exhaust system made of stainless steel with metal catalytic converters and 4 double-walled 100mm end pipes.

Probably the most striking aspect of the GTR is its wider body with specially developed fenders, sills and air intakes. The front features a new double lip bumper and an additional double light system as well as a carbon fibre front spoiler. A trunk lid wing and integrated diffuser finish out the rear. Other A_R_T options include ARTstar2 wheels, laether and carbon fibre interior trim, track widening and sill-mouted steplights.

During the Middle East Motor Show Dubai in December 2005, the GTR had its first introduction to the public. Customers in Europe are now able to order it from April 2006 onwards.
