2006 Mugen Civic Dominator Concept

September 24, 2006 — To showcase their upcoming line of Civic accessories, Mugen have released the Dominator Concept. It comes equipped with a domestic version of the JDM K20A Inine-4 that is supercharged to produce to 295 bhp.

While this Civic may look entirely new to some, most of its underlining design comes from Japan’s basic dometic model, abeit with a menacing bodykit and custom interior. Mugen have added new flared wheel arches, an over-the-top adjustable wing and an aggressive valances. As a neat touch, the rear door handles are also hidden. Inside, new race seats are fitted along with a sports steering wheel, pedals and gearshift. At the rear there’s a centrally located exhaust and surrounding bodywork.

While the new concept version dwarfs the recently released Civic Type-R on almost every level, the it is expected that Mugen will wait to display a production of a similar car until the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.
