Monterey Preview #2

With Monterey around the corner, we present even more cars that will contribute to the best weekend of the year.

First, we take a look at an exceptional Aston Martin that we’ve wanted to talk about for three years. With four dedicated Aston classes at Pebble, now is the best time to look at this Touring Spyder which captured our attention so long ago.

The auction houses have about 200 upcoming cars that would be suitable here, but we have to single out a few with no particular reasoning other than we like em. Gooding and Company have an impressive display of Ferraris including a 375 America and a 410 SuperAmerica, but our choice is their 250 Coupe Speciale.

RM probably have the best biggest lineup, but this Detomaso Montella Concept is one we ran into last week at Meadowbrook.

Both Pebble Beach and the Monterey historic races will celebrate Indy cars, and one of the stars of the weekend will be this 1905 Premier. On site we plan to discover all we can about this forgotten marvel.

We finish with one of Bonham’s exceptional muscle cars which was long overdue in the database. This is the 1969 Camaro COPO 9561 which is expected to bring in $300 000 USD.
